Betfred Wheelchair Super League fixtures announced

Wigan Warriors will begin their defence of the Betfred Wheelchair Super League when they travel to Hull FC in the competition’s opening round on Sunday 16 June.

Last season saw the Warriors lift the Wheelchair Super League trophy for the very first time, with a thrilling 46-40 win over Leeds Rhinos in Manchester. Coach Chris Greenhalgh will be looking to Grand Final heroes Adam Rigby and Jack Heggie to turbo-charge a strong start to their title defence.

2023 Grand Final runners up, Leeds Rhinos, also begin their campaign on the road – they travel to Halifax Panthers in a fixture that is likely to see England Wheelchair captain, Tom Halliwell, face his international teammate Rob Hawkins.

With this season’s Super League returning as a five-team competition, London Roosters will have a bye in week one with their first game of 2024 being a blockbuster clash against the reigning champions at Medway Park on Saturday 22 June.

This season will see each team face ten rounds of fixtures before the regular season concludes on Saturday 14 September with the top four teams progressing to the play-offs on the weekend of September 28/29. This year’s Grand Final is set to take place on Sunday 13 October – and shown live on Sky Sports.
