The Wigan Rugby League Heritage Society works in partnership with Wigan Warriors to help preserve and promote the heritage of the Club.
Rugby in Wigan can be traced as far back as 1872. Having celebrated 150 years of rugby in our town of Wigan in 2022, your membership will continue to help promote and preserve every one of those years via our events, exhibitions, talks, memorabilia, rugby family ancestry and much more!
2024 sees the dawning of a new age in the world of Wigan Warriors, which marks a perfect opportunity for the Club to create a legacy that can be enjoyed and remembered for years to come. In addition, it is a great chance to create a fan led Wigan RLFC Heritage Society, which will bring supporters together to create a reference point for the Club’s history.
The Heritage Society will not only focus on the men’s game, but the women’s, amateur and community game, which will be key features as the society looks at to promote and celebrate the work those organisations do for the players they accommodate and our community they entertain!
