EASTER CAMPS
LEGENDS WEEK

The camps will take place from Tuesday 2nd April to Friday 5th April from 9am – 3.30pm daily – the perfect way to keep busy during the Easter Holidays.

These camps will give the participants the opportunity to develop their core skills and understanding of the game with each of the four days of activities including fun and engaging sessions that will cater for all ability levels and experiences. The camp will include a daily theme based on a different Wigan Legend and present players highlighting their best moments in a Wigan shirt.

Wigan Warriors Community Foundation Schools Partnership Manager, Scott Rafferty, said: “We’re really excited to announce our ‘Legends Week’ camp in the Easter Holidays.

“We’ll be showcasing legendary former players and current members of our first team squad highlighting their finest moments in a Wigan shirt.”

He added: “Our camps have been really well attended recently so it just goes to show our coaches are doing a fantastic job to provide the best experience for those attending. We’re confident that the Legends Week can continue to add to this momentum we’ve been building with our holiday provision.”

The camps are open to children aged 6-16 and cost £49 for all four days. You can also book individual sessions for £15 per day.

HOLIDAY ACTIVITY CAMPS

Over the past three years, Wigan Warriors have successfully delivered the Holiday Activities & Food Programme across Wigan and surrounding areas.

Holiday Activity and Food Programme Camps (HAF) are for children and young people who are eligible for benefit-related free school meals. This is a government scheme to provide holiday activities and meals for children and young people for free during the Easter and Summer holidays.

The HAF Programme consists of face-to-face delivery and take place over Easter, Summer and Christmas Holidays.

Children who attend this provision will:

  • Eat healthier over the school holidays.
  • Be more active during the school holidays.
  • Be safe and not to be socially isolated.
  • Have a greater knowledge of health and nutrition.

The initiative is funded by the Department for Education (DfE), and is operated by Wigan Council, to give children, young people and families access to support and safe activity. Our HAF camps operate at Robin Park Arena and Chowbent Primary School.

Details of our next holiday activity camps will appear here.

athletics programmes

Athletics is where it all begins. Learning to run, jump and throw is the foundation for a lifetime of activity.

Wigan Warriors offers fun Athletics camps to children aged between 6 and 11. Based at the Robin Park Arena, our athletics camps provide children irrespective of ability, fitness level, background or disability the opportunity to develop valuable fundamental skills.

The camps are delivered by qualified athletics coaches and provide a stepping stone into Wigan Warriors Mini & Junior Athletics programme or to join one of Wigan Harriers structured athlete development pathways.
