CHARITIES

Wigan Warriors pride ourselves on our community values and are committed to making a positive difference through charitable activity.

All applications for charity support need to be submitted via post on letter headed paper (of the represented charity) to: Mandy Johnston, Charity Support, Wigan Warriors, Robin Park Arena, Loire Drive, Wigan, WN5 0UHUnfortunately the Club cannot respond to, nor will acknowledge ANY charity requests received by email or over the telephone as we require formal proof of charitable cause.

To aid your application, please provide as much detail as possible, including your contact details, the cause you are supporting, event details, potential audience and potential use of any donation.

All applications should be received a minimum of 10 weeks prior to your event or activity to give us time to receive, assess and process your request.

Unfortunately, due to the large number of requests we receive each week from worthwhile causes we are unable to grant every request. Priority is given to requests from local good causes and please note that no monetary or sponsorship contributions are available.

We look forward to hearing from you and wish you the best of luck in your fundraising efforts.

Charities Supported

The Wigan Club has forged pioneering links with local, regional and national charities over recent years but we still aim to support as many organisations as possible.

Prostate Cancer Research

Wigan Warriors supporter Andrew Baines fulfilled a dream when cycling from Wigan to Perpignan in aid of Prostate Cancer Research.

In 2024, Andrew was one of approximately 44,000 annual men in the UK to be diagnosed with prostate cancer, but without a national screening programme for the disease, detection came following an unreliable PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) test.

Andrew is now raising needed awareness to lower the 11,500 men dying from prostate cancer each year, with a cycle from The Brick Community Stadium to The Stade Gilbert Brutus – the home of Super League side Catalans Dragons.

MND 777

Wigan Warriors Chairman Professor Chris Brookes took part in the MND777 Challenge, which saw him join runners from The Brick Community Stadium to Leigh Sports Village.

Having started at the beginning of May, the MND777 Challenge saw runners complete 7 marathons, in 7 days, in 7 counties in support of people fighting, suffering and battling Motor Neurone Disease.

Fans can mark a special occasion with us by enjoying first-class hospitality at The Brick Community Stadium on home match day. Fans can make their night extra special by adding a special occasion package and can have a birthday cake presented, a balloon at your table, table decorations, a signed shirt or ball that is presented by a non-playing player that night and a message in the match programme or on the big LED screen. For full details please CLICK HERE.

Please note that due to time constraints, we cannot facilitate announcements for special occasions. However, you can have your announcement in our match day programme and on our big LED screen.

Wigan Warriors hold events throughout the year where fans can meet with players.

Our players are always happy to sign your official Warriors shirt or ball. Fans can also meet players before games in the South West corner of The Brick Community Stadium ahead of each home game where they can pass on their messages of support, have photos taken and obtain autographs.

Players usually arrive about two hours before a game and head over to the stadium via the southwest corner from Robin Park Arena and are always very accommodating.
