Wigan Warriors Community Foundation aims to significantly grow the sport of Rugby League outside of Wigan and provide opportunities for all members of the community to become involved.

We currently deliver initiatives across the Northwest, Cumbria and the Midlands.

Wigan Warriors Community Foundation support all community clubs with their development area.

All community club coaches can access regular coach professional development from WWCF coaches and Wigan Warriors first-team coaches.

Alongside coach education, there have been over 100 regular opportunities for all teams to train at Robin Park facilities.

During 2023, WWCF supported 3000 juniors across the town competing in summer festivals. This program engaged with 60 community clubs across the north of England and each club is also entitled to a discount offer of match tickets during the Super League season.

Wigan Warriors Community Foundation High School Rugby Development programme has grown significantly since 2014.

Through this programme, we have. provided curriculum and extracurricular sessions to 50 High Schools across the Northwest alone.

Our development officers have engaged with over 2680 pupils per week, with a further 1100 pupils taking part in extracurricular activities.
