Since moving to the Robin Park Arena in 2019, Wigan Warriors Community Foundation has made great strides in extending the range of Community-focused provision that is offered both on and off-site. Wigan Warriors Community Foundation has enabled thousands of people to take part in Sport, Health, Educational and general well-being initiatives. These include:

  • New initiatives to develop the sport of Rugby League, including Women & Girls pathway, Physical and Learning Disability Rugby League, Touch Rugby League and Wheelchair Rugby League.
  • Health & Wellbeing delivery for the local community.
  • Rugby Memories Garden that supports older adults, school groups and clients with physical and learning disabilities.
  • The creation of an education centre that supports young people and adults.
  • Inclusive sport delivery.
  • Inclusive training sessions.
  • Fundraising events.
  • Children’s physical activity camps.
  • Significant developments in the participation of junior athletics provision.
  • Community & Fan Events such as Firework displays, past player interviews and open access training sessions.

Wigan Warriors Community Foundation aims to deliver a service that is rated as “best in class” by our participants and partners. We support people who are in the greatest need and who face the toughest challenges. We provide life-changing opportunities, particularly for young people, aiming to give them a fresh start in life and opportunities to grow, develop and become active and engaged members of society. We currently support and improve the lives of more than 40,000 people every year.
