Match Preview: Hull KR (H)

The Warriors will be aiming to follow up on last weekend’s impressive victory over Leigh Leopards with a fifth consecutive win at the DW Stadium.

Matt Peet has made one change to his 21-man squad as Joe Shorrocks returns from a one-match suspension to replace Jacob Douglas.

Coach Quotes

Speaking to the press ahead of the fixture, Peet said: “The lads are in good shape – our 13 on 13 at the minute are two very good sides. Everyone’s eager to play and we need to build momentum as a group going into the end of the season.”

Peet added: “We can’t concern ourselves too much on what team Hull KR will play – an important two points are at stake. This will bring a different challenge because we won’t know know the personnel, so we will just concentrate on ourselves.”

Ticket prices for the game are as follows:

South Stand:

  • Loyal 18 members – from £11 Junior and  £24 Adults
  • General sale – from £12 Junior and £26 Adults

East and West Stands – in line with 2022 season ticket prices, tickets for the East and West Stands are priced the same:

  • Loyal 18 members – from £21 Junior and £28 Adult
  • General sale – from £22 Junior and £30 Adult

Hull of a ticket offer

Supporters who purchase a ticket for our clash against Hull KR can claim 50% off their ticket for our home fixture against Hull FC on Friday 18 August. The half price offer applies to all age categories, and tickets can be selected in either of the three home stands inside the the DW!

To qualify for the offer, tickets must be purchased at the same time and by calling the DW Stadium Ticket Office on 01942 311111 or in person at the DW Stadium Ticket Office (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm). More information can be found HERE.

Robin Park Arena Fan Village

Our Fan Village will be open from 5pm to soak up the pre-match atmosphere with free entry for all with a valid match ticket. Our Reserves team are in action against Hull KR at 5:30pm with spectators welcome to cheer the lads on from the stands! The match will also be live on the big screen inside the DW Stadium, which will open at 6:30pm.

Our official charity partner Nordoff and Robbins who will be taking over Friday night’s match. The music therapy charity will have a stand set up in the Fan Village, and supporters will be able to purchase raffle tickets, as well as a Wigan Warriors keyring for £5 – 50% of the profit will be donated to charity.

Inside the Fan Village supporters will be able to enjoy a musician performance, and as usual our club store and pop-up store will both be open to pick up any merchandise ahead of the game, as well as two on-site bars serving refreshments.

Two more exclusive player cards will be available to collect on Friday from the Fan Village. Make sure to look out for members of Warriors staff and stewards, who will have the cards ready to hand out. Cards will also be available to pick up from our Robin Park Arena store, the pop-up store and on all the bars.

Car Parking

Card payments are now accepted on all of our car parks, the charges remain the same (£5.00 per car/£10 per minibus/£20 per coach on Car Park 1, and Cars £5.00 on Car Parks 3 & 4). 

Please note that all car parks will close at midnight.
