Cade Cust spoke to Wigan TV for the fir time after being announced as the latest addition to the Warriors squad for 2022.

“I can’t wait to get going,” he said. “I’m really excited of what’s to come at Wigan. As a young bloke, I followed Super League and I know it’s very prestigious, it’s a winning Club and hopefully I can make an impact and win some comps.”

Speaking on his role coming into Wigan: “The last couple of years I’ve been playing nine but primarily I want to play 6 – that’s my preferred position. The halves is my main position.”

Cust also spoke about his new Head Coach, Matt Peet: “He’s very family orientated and I’m very keen to meet him, all the team too and get to work. I’ll be here as soon as possible, just getting the visa done and there’s nothing holding me back here. I can’t wait to join.”

The half back also expressed his eagerness to get on the field: “I’ve played alongside Abbas Miski before and I’m really excited to play with Bevan, he’s got a lot of speed. I know guys like John Bateman too and I can’t wait to get on the field with them.

“I’m ready. I’m a competitive bloke, I want to win and I can’t wait to see all the fans. I’m really excited to be a part of it.”
