Holts injury update

Get the latest on the Wigan Warriors squad with the Holts Auto injury update.

At Wednesday’s virtual press conference, via Zoom, at Robin Park Arena, Head Coach Adrian Lam provided an update on his squad of players ahead of Sunday’s Round 8 restart fixture against Wakefield Trinity.

The Warriors return to action for the first time since 13th March as they face Wakefield at Leeds’ Emerald Headingley Stadium (3:15pm kick off).

Prop Tony Clubb has been ruled out of Sunday’s game with a neck injury.

The 33-year-old, who had neck surgery in 2016, played in Wigan’s win at Huddersfield in March but missed the following two matches with a shoulder injury.

Clubb will miss Sunday’s game.

Lam said: “He has a bulging vertebrae in his neck, he’s had an issue in the past and it’s flared up.

“We’ve got to take a precaution there; we’ll probably know a bit more within a week. We’re hoping he’s going to be okay.”

Centre Oliver Gildart will also miss out as he continues his recovery from a dislocated shoulder sustained last Autumn on Great Britain’s tour of New Zealand.
