Vacancy: Sales & Hospitality Executive

Wigan Warriors are seeking to appoint a Sales & Hospitality Executive to join our commercial team.

The successful candidate will be involved in selling a range of hospitality and sponsorship packages, managing the accounts of existing clients on a seasonal and non-seasonal basis, and ensuring clients receive a first class service on matchdays.

The Sales & Hospitality Executive will report directly to the Head of Sales, and the hours of work will be between 30 – 37.5 hours per week.

Main Responsibilities:

Sales:

  • To sell matchday packages for the DW Stadium including hospitality and match sponsorships.
  • Sell wider events organised by Wigan Warriors including events that are delivered at the Robin Park Arena. Proactively contact and generate new clients across all areas of the commercial department.
  • Sell player sponsorships across all teams as appropriate.
  • Proactively contact and generate new clients across all areas of the commercial department.
  • Identify new sales leads and prospects, introducing new revenue streams to the club.

Hospitality:

  • Ensure that all requirements are in place prior to each matchday such as collaborating with stadium operations team, health and safety team, stadium hospitality representatives and any other relevant internal or external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that hospitality areas are effectively branded and set up to meet client’s requirements on a matchday.
  • Support additional matchday duties, which include general set up, facilitation of matchday activities, events and competitions.
  • Work across the commercial department to ensure that all clients receive a first-class experience.
  • Attend events as appropriate on behalf of Wigan Warriors.
  • Work closely with the Head of Sales and Head of Partnerships to ensure that all matchday/commercial objectives are delivered.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Support the wider commercial team with any additional duties as required across the department.
  • Support on non-matchday events to include sporting events and non-sporting events such as concerts, along with club partner events.
  • Keep up to date with legislation relevant to role.
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested by line manager.
