Matt Peet reflected on Friday night’s defeat to Leeds Rhinos at the DW Stadium.

Reflecting on the loss, Peet said: “We’ve reflected on tonight’s performance. There were some harsh words, as you would expect, but words don’t count for much, it’s about our actions after this.

“We spoke at half time how Leeds would come out firing and the fact is that we didn’t tie in what we said. We had a poor start to the second half and once we went behind things went from bad to worse. Leeds have the ability to score points in quick succession, but I couldn’t vision what happened.”

Speaking on the responsibility being shared, the Head Coach added: “It’s always collectiveness – players and coaches working together. That’s why we take the highs and the lows as a unit. We thought we had a good plan tonight but ultimately we didn’t stick to it or execute it which we all have to take responsibility for.

“Individuals make errors and it is about how the team responds to them. I was quite disappointed with how we responded tonight.”

Peet also reflected on a frustrating evening for the home supporters: “Our fans have been great on the whole and myself and the players understand their frustrations. We are disappointed, but we are very much in it with the fans who we have a great connection with.”
