Cust on Toulouse win

Cade Cust reflected on a ‘physical’ game against Toulouse Olympique at the DW Stadium on Friday night.

“I know the score line probably doesn’t reflect it but it was very physical,” Cust said, “they’ve got some good ball carriers and it took us a while to get some points on the board but in the end we got over.

“They’re fighting to avoid relegation but we were fighting for that second spot so we were more determined I think.”

Talking through the game, Cust: “I think we started well, that first 10 minutes but then we lost our way a bit for 15/20 minutes in that first half but the second half was clinical so we’re pretty happy with it.

“We made the big men turn around and we’ve got the attacking threats in our team that we can rely on to score points so that’s what happened.”

Finally, Cust thanked the fans once more for their support: “They’ve been exceptional all year, we haven’t lost at home and I think a big reason for that is our support and the noise that they bring. We have to thank them heaps.”
