In Memoriam: Dave Hadfield

This morning, Wigan Warriors are saddened to hear of the passing of former Rugby League Reporter Dave Hadfield.

Dave was a reporter on the Bolton Evening News as well as working in Shropshire, Hong Kong, Sydney and Blackpool before joining The Independent as their Rugby League Reporter.

He became an accomplished author, writing on many subjects, including travel, folk music and the game he loved.

Dave also played for Bolton Mets Rugby League Club before becoming Chairman.

Everyone at Wigan Warriors sends their condolences to the family and friends of Dave at this very sad time.
