Myzone: Get Wigan Moving

Wigan Warriors and official heart rate partner Myzone have teamed up to deliver a series of online workouts to Get Wigan Moving.

Myzone have been working with the Club since the start of the 2021 season, providing its innovative wearable heart rate based system to accurately and conveniently monitor physical activity throughout the High Performance Programme.

Both parties have also committed to support a range of community projects and fan engagement initiatives to encourage physical activity and wellbeing.

Taking place from Thursday, Wigan Warriors and Myzone will deliver three live workouts via the MZ-Remote platform in the Myzone App. Each session will include demonstrations from Wigan Warriors men’s and women’s first team players and will be free for fans and the wider fitness community to join.

Details for the sessions are as follows:

  • Thursday 2nd September, 7:30am – 8:15am: Tabata session led by Wigan Warriors head of nutrition Darren Marsh
  • Saturday 4th September, 11:30am – 12:15pm: Cardio Club led by Myzone master trainer Billy Burchett
  • Monday 6th September, 7:30am – 8:15am: Yoga session led by Wigan Warriors Community Foundation health and wellbeing manager Claire Taylor

To take part in these workouts, simply download the Myzone App from the Apple or Android store and register your account. 

If you don’t have a Myzone belt you can still take part in each session, simply register an account using facility code WWUK002 and belt ID ‘0’.

Anyone with a Myzone belt will be able to track their live heart rate percentage, calories burned and MEPs (Myzone Effort Points), plus receive live encouragement and feedback from the coach.

Once you have registered your account, simply head to ‘Book a class’ to book your workout. You will receive a notification five minutes before your class starts, then just tap to join.
