Supporter tribute: watch again

Supporters who were back inside the DW Stadium for the first time in 15 months on Friday night witnessed an emotional tribute to the supporters and Club icons who were with us as lockdown began, but sadly didn’t live to see our long-awaited return to action.

With more than 120 names on the video, it shows just how deeply affected this Club, like so many other professional sporting institutions, has been affected by the scale of tragedy surrounding the pandemic, with the loss of a loved one or dear friend – whether due to Covid-19 or just unfortunate timing while its effects were being felt – being something that has touched thousands of the Wigan faithful.

Club chaplain Glen Rickard led us in tribute via the big screen on the night, and for those who weren’t able to see it go out for the first time – or want the chance to see it again to find the name of someone they miss so much – we’re siting it permanently here in memory of Warriors whose spirit lives on…
