Warriors partner with law firm

Wigan Warriors are delighted to announce North West law firm Brabners as its official legal partner.

As part of the multi-year partnership, Brabners become the Warriors’ exclusive legal adviser, working closely with the Club’s executive management board.

A leading independent law firm with offices in Liverpool, Manchester and Preston, Brabners provides legal services to large and mid-sized businesses, SMEs, public sector bodies, charities, business owners, entrepreneurs, high-net worth individuals and sports organisations.

Brabners will benefit from a range of branding opportunities including LED advertising, whilst the Club will release a series of social media content providing insight into how the two parties have worked together to overcome topical legal challenges.

In recent months, Brabners have assisted the Club with the intellectual property protection of its new badge, whilst supporting the contractual process for new commercial partnerships.

Wigan Warriors sales director, Geoff Warburton, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Brabners into our growing commercial portfolio as our official legal partner.

“Brabners has a proven track record of advising some of the biggest names in sport and having this level of experience at our side will, no doubt, be invaluable for the Club.

“Having worked closely with Brabners in recent months, we are delighted with the value that they have added and look forward to working closely with them moving forward.”

Lydia Edgar, head of the sport sector at Brabners, added: “Forging this new relationship is an important step as we continue to expand our rugby portfolio. Wigan Warriors is one of the world’s most famous rugby clubs and counting an organisation of its calibre as a client demonstrates the sporting pedigree Brabners has built over the years.”
