Wigan Warriors thank Prestone

Following the news last week that new fan engagement platform IQONIQ will become the Club’s new Principal Partner from 2021, Wigan Warriors would like to publicly acknowledge and thank current Principal Partner Prestone for their support. 

Prestone have proudly served as the Club’s main partner for the past two seasons, along with Holts, who are also part of parent company Holt Lloyd International, who have been onboard as the Club’s Official Repair and Maintenance Partner. 

During the past two seasons, the Warriors have worked closely with Prestone and Holts to improve the awareness of the two automotive brands amongst Rugby League supporters, whilst facilitating a rich and engaging relationship with Wigan fans.

The two parties have worked together on a range of exciting activations including the Prestone #ExcelsinExtremes pre-season programme plus Holts Repair and Maintenance content.  

A range of additional social media content has also been produced, whilst regular giveaways across Prestone social media channels have proven popular amongst fans.

Most recently in the absence of crowds, Prestone have facilitated virtual matchday experiences providing fans the opportunity to be part of the pre-match build up from home, with competition winners given the chance to join host Joe Mills and a first team player on exclusive Zoom calls.

Wigan Warriors commercial director, Dan Burton, said: “Prestone and Holts been fantastic partners for the Club where we have established close working and personal relationships with all involved. They have also been very engaged partners where the best compliment that I can give is that they are both recognised by fans as genuine supporters of the Club.

“From the very outset of this relationship two years ago, the team at Holt Lloyd International have gone to great lengths to create a fantastic relationship with our fans, regularly cheering us on both on site at games and across social media, creating bespoke activation content and facilitating plenty of popular giveaways.

“During what has been a very challenging season for all concerned, Prestone and Holts have continued to be vocal in their support for the Club and have gone above and beyond to keep up their engagement with our fans.

“Both parties can be rightfully proud of what we have achieved together and we certainly look forward to welcoming them back to the DW Stadium in 2021 when the opportunity presents itself.”
