Vacancy: Matchday Volunteers
As we embark on the 2024 Betfred Super League Season, Wigan Warriors are looking for volunteers to add to the Wigan Warriors Community Foundation strong workforce and to ensure our matchday experience is one to be remembered.
Our volunteers have a vital part to play on a matchday, we have an incredible amount of work going on behind the scenes, and you can help us in many different ways.
Wigan Warriors seek support in and around Robin Park Arena and the DW stadium. We will have volunteers carrying out various roles including managing the pre-game experiences, fan zones, setting up the stadium and most importantly making sure our fans have the best experience possible when visiting on a matchday.
What the Warriors are looking for:
- Good Interpersonal and communication skills
- A ‘can-do’ and friendly attitude
- Willingness to work in teams and independently
- Any customer service experience highly regarded
- Working with the Community
What the Warriors can give you:
- Experience working with the UK’s largest Rugby League Club
- Local engagement with your Community
- Warriors Uniform
- Match day ticket
- Take part in any Foundation CPD opportunities
- Potential coaching opportunities with Wigan Warriors Community Foundation
- Further career opportunities with the Club
Applications from students, and those seeking work experience in sports are strongly encouraged. We also consider transitions for students from the volunteer programme into Warriors programmes. Please note that due to the high volume of applications each season, only successful candidates will be contacted.
Please send a Covering Letter outlining why you’d like to become a matchday volunteer and what skills you might bring, alongside a CV to [email protected] to register interest. Applicants must be over the age of 16 and will need to complete a DBS.
