More Wheelchair Magic

Wigan Warriors will play London Roosters in the third Magic Weekend in just over one weeks’ time, live on TheSportsman.com from the National Basketball Centre in Manchester.

The Sportsman’s live, exclusive and hugely popular Rugby League coverage will continue next Saturday (June 24), this time from the Betfred Wheelchair Super League – including the most-anticipated match of the Betfred Wheelchair Super League season so far.

James Simpson’s Leeds Rhinos, currently riding high with a 100% record, take on Halifax Panthers, the reigning champions, in the climax of the third Magic Round of the year, which will be played at the National Basketball Centre in Belle Vue, Manchester.

It will be the first time the old rivals have met since the Panthers won a thriller in last year’s Grand Final at the same venue.

And all the action from all three games will be shown live on The Sportsman’s Rugby League YouTube channel, from midday.

The first match is an intriguing clash between London Roosters and Wigan Warriors, with the Warriors aiming to take rapid revenge after suffering a 48-16 defeat against Tom Coyd’s Roosters in the last Magic Round in Newcastle last week.

That is followed by another tough test for Warrington Wolves against a Hull FC team who have made huge strides this season boosted by the arrival of the former England international Martin Norris, with Tristan Norfolk’s prolific form earning a first England call-up.

The Sportsman’s Wheelchair bonanza on Saturday week follows this Sunday’s live coverage of the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup Quarter Final between Wigan Warriors and Huddersfield Giants – with the action from Robin Park kicking off at 1130am.
