Coming up this week

  • Four Warriors teams are in action this week.
  • First team and Reserves play on Friday while Wheelchair are in action on Saturday.
  • Women face York in Play-Off Semi Final at Headingley Stadium on Sunday.

First Team

Following the first team trip to Hull KR on Monday afternoon, it’s the final round of the Betfred Super League as the Warriors welcome Catalans Dragons to the DW Stadium on Friday 2nd September (8pm K.O.) for Round 27. After the numerous challenges and difficulties we have all experienced these last few years, the Club are rewarding those who have worked on the frontline.

As a thank you to all key workers for their outstanding efforts, we are giving away two tickets each to every key worker who would like to come to the game. Please note that these tickets are for the North Stand only and must be redeemed via the DW Stadium Ticket Office with proof shown in person. Find out more HERE.

The game will also be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Reserves

The final game of the Reserves season sees the Warriors make the short trip to Victoria Park to face Warrington Wolves on Friday 2nd September (7pm K.O.).

Half time and full time updates will be available on our social media pages.

Wheelchair

Our Wheelchair side face reigning champions Leeds Rhinos in the final game of the Wheelchair Super League season. They face off at Robin Park Leisure Centre at 11:45am on Saturday 3rd September, with both sides still in with a shot of winning the League Leaders’ Shield. Leeds head into the match knowing a win will be enough to ensure they finish top of the table going into the end-of-season Play-Offs, but a Wigan win would give the Warriors an outside chance of finishing first instead. The home side, though, would need London Roosters to record their first win of the season’s second phase, at home to Halfiax Panthers, in order to finish above Halifax.

Spectators can watch the game for FREE.

Half time and full time updates will be available on our social media pages.

The match will also be broadcast live on The Sportsman, with coverage beginning on thesportsman.com and The Sportsman Rugby League on YouTube at 11:30am.

Women

Finally, the Women’s team play their Play-Off Semi Final against league leaders’ York City Knights in a double header at Headingley Stadium (3pm K.O.) on Sunday 4th September, with the winner going on to play in the Super League Grand Final against either St Helens or Leeds Rhinos.

Tickets for the game cost just £5 and can be purchased by clicking HERE.
