Cade Cust says Wigan are ‘ready to rectify’ their performance ahead of Friday’s game against Toulouse at the DW Stadium.

Looking back on Sunday’s game, he said: “They [Wakefield] had some momentum and it was hard to turn them around, a few things went against us, that’s no excuse but once they’re on the front foot they’re a very tough team to stop so we just couldn’t get the result.

“It wasn’t ideal obviously. We kind of didn’t stick to the game plan and once they get on the front foot, they’re a very hard team to stop so we’ve been watching some video and we’re ready to rectify it this week.”

The Warriors return to the DW Stadium this Friday: “It’s obviously good to be back home, we have the fans and they can really get us home I think. We’re looking forward to putting in a good performance after the loss at the weekend and they’ll be ready to give it to us as well – they want to avoid relegation so we’re expecting a tough game.

“We’ve got an undefeated record at home so hopefully we can keep that going and if we can get a home Semi-Final it would be great.”

On Friday’s game he added: “We haven’t spoken too much about them, we weren’t very good on the weekend so we just want to get our game plan right and focus on what we can do right, if we do that then we should be okay.

“They’re going to be fighting to stay up so we expect them to come out firing. It should be a good game and we’re all looking forward to it.”

Talking about inclusivity day, Cust said: “I think there’s 11 different teams and it’s a range of ages so it’ll be a good night. We had the inclusive training session recently and it was great just to see everyone enjoying each other company. It was a light training session together and especially when you have younger players training with you, it’s good to show them what you do around training and where they can aspire to be.”
