Brad Singleton says you can ‘feel the hunger’ as Wigan look to continue their winning ways going into the second half of the Super League season.

“You can feel the hunger,” he said on Wigan backing up their Challenge Cup Final win with two League victories. “No-one has rested on that Challenge Cup, everyone sees the bigger picture and obviously the bigger picture is to get to the Grand Final. You’re nowhere near it now and no performance now will win you that Grand Final but you need to take those steps forward, build your performance and form and this period now before the play-offs is one of the main parts of the season.”

He added: “We want to be going into the next two weeks’ with two strong performances. Out of the previous two, the Cas’ game was decent and personally for me I felt that Salford game was a real strong performance and if we can nail these next two we’re in a really healthy position.”

Singleton was keen to praise this week’s visitors Toulouse: Toulouse right now, it’s hard to say because I know they aren’t getting wins, but I believe they’re in good form. They are testing people and I do think they’ll that next win will come soon, I think it’ll be a tough game – they showed that first time out against us that they are a tough team.

“They’ve got a great side, their backs are athletic and strong, the forwards are strong, they’re unorthodox and their halfbacks are top quality. You’re against an unpredictable, talented and athletic side so I think it’ll be a great game.”

Wigan return home to the DW Stadium for the first time in 61 days, and the forward is keen to see the big crowds on cheering the team once more: “It’s quite tough, if you wrote it all down, six games away from home in a row is a lot and I think we’ve handled that pretty well. We’re just dying to get back out there now, the fans have been on that journey on all those games away from home they’ve been as loud as anything.

“If they’re behind the team, I don’t think it’s a coincidence that someone might grab a last minute try or a big moment. It does transfer and always has done in sport, if we can get a big atmosphere over at the DW this week, it’ll be great for us.”
