Sam Halsall, Umyla Hanley and Matty Nicholson were all in action for Newcastle Thunder on Sunday afternoon, as James McDonnell featured for Leigh Centurions.

Leigh Centurions welcomed Newcastle Thunder on Sunday afternoon as the four Warriors players featured across the two sides. Sam Halsall started at Centre, alongside Umyla Hanley as his winger. Matty Nicholson was at Interchange for Newcastle with James McDonnell at Interchange for the Centurions.

Umyla Hanley had a great opportunity to open the scoring for Thunder after just 4 minutes, as he crossed the whitewash but was adjudged to have been in touch. Sam Halsall went over for Thunder with a show and go in the 24th minute as James McDonnell featured for Leigh.

Matty Nicholson was also in the frame for Thunder as Leigh took the 34-18 win.
