Salute your Covid-hero Warriors

Warriors At Home
  • This week’s #WarriorsAtHome challenge seeks to find the Covid heroes among our support base.
  • Nominate family or friends who have gone above and beyond to support others.
  • Get involved via Facebook and Twitter all week.

For our latest #WarriorsAtHome challenge, we want you to tell us about the Wigan-supporting family and friends in your life who have done more than most to support the local community throughout the ongoing challenge of Covid-19.

In a bid to share positivity throughout our fanbase, we are looking for nominations and brief explanations about the wonderful efforts that people you know have gone through in order to provide a happier, safer or more familiar world throughout the course of a very complicated year.

Maybe you house share with a delivery driver who has spent months on the road transferring vital supplies, are related to a medic whose interventions have saved countless lives or live next door to someone who continues to have to work outdoors in all weathers to keep key services running while most of us protect ourselves under the advice to ‘stay at home’.

Whatever the story, if they’re worthy of praise, we want to hear about them via our Facebook and Twitter pages for the latest #WarriorsAtHome interaction, with photos or videos and a brief explanation as to why they’re a Warriors fan who should be classed as a hero.

How you depict them is entirely up to you – on site, in uniform, at a game in happy times gone by… all we ask is that we can then share them to spread positivity and a feelgood factor to fellow supporters. If sharing visual content on Twitter, please try and use landscape photos or videos where possible, due to the way that portrait or square images tend to get cropped on timelines.

The movement is live now and we’ll be looking to share happy stories all week, so if you want to give someone the praise they deserve, tell us about them now and we’ll share their story with the worldwide Warriors fanbase.
