Brad Singleton says Wigan Warriors’ focus is now on finishing the Betfred Super League season with Grand Final success.

Following a 19-6 win over Huddersfield Giants, Adrian Lam’s side lifted the League Leaders’ Shield on Friday night and now have a week off in preparation for a Play-Off Semi Final on 19th November.

Singleton hopes the Wigan group can build on their first trophy won together and add the main prize to their collection.

He said: “We all have our sights set on the Grand Final. We will take that weekend off and get firing into the Semi Finals.”

Singleton hopes the Warriors can build on winning the League Leaders’ Shield.

The prop believes his side have the right balance of players that can help them have success in years to come.

“This squad has a decent blend of experienced players, the middle ground, and then the young lads coming through who would die for the cause. I think it is the perfect formula to win trophies, which was proven on Friday.

“Winning is a mentality and to get the first trophy in the bank really helps. Hopefully we can finish things with the Super League.”

The 28-year-old has been pleased with how the team has performed in the last two games, which helped them to secure top spot.

“The Saints game won’t be matched for physicality and intensity – it was incredible just to experience it. Huddersfield were no push over either, so to back up that performance up from the derby shows we have it in us.”

After an uncertain few months with former club Toronto Wolfpack dropping out of Super League, Singleton is pleased to have found a place where he feels at home.

Singleton is delighted to be at Wigan and feels at home with the Club.

“It has been a pleasure to be at the Club. The boys have made me feel as if I have been here for years. I’ve really enjoyed it – everyone has been fantastic with me and my family.

“I’m loving wearing the jersey and being back out on the field.”
