Liam Farrell says he is ‘grateful’ after reaching 100 tries for Wigan in Sunday’s 28-10 victory over Leeds Rhinos.

The second-row went over for another career milestone in Cherry and White, as he opened the scoring in the Betfred Super League Round 9 clash at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

Talking to Wigan TV this week, the 30-year-old expressed how happy he was to have reached the landmark in his testimonial year at the Club.

He said: “I knew about this before we stopped playing in March, and that it was coming. I had one disallowed (earlier on in the game against Leeds) so I thought I had got it, but then I hadn’t.

“Hundred down the line and it seems amazing to have got here. There have been some good ones along the way, so I’m just grateful to get this.

“There’s one standout (try), and it was against St Helens on Good Friday. Although the work was done for me, I had to find the gap. The atmosphere and the ten seconds were just an amazing experience, just the whole Wigan Saints derby and the amount it meant to all the Wigan lads in the team.”
