Each week Wigan Warriors will welcome a local act to perform on the Club’s social media as part of our new initiative, Music Monday.

Throughout lockdown, isolation shows have become a staple feature for artists to continue to perform and interact with people across the world.

Ollie Anglesea, the front man of local four-piece, The Lilacs, is our next act.

The singer’s set will be available from 7pm on Monday 15th June on the Club’s Instagram, Twitter and Facebook channels.

We take a closer look at the local four-piece and preview exactly what to expect from them...

The Lilacs performed at the pre-match Fan Zone at Robin Park Arena earlier this year.

The Wigan four-piece is comprised of Ollie Anglesea, Sam Birchall, Dave Gomersall and Matty Johnson.

After forming towards the back-end of 2018, The Lilacs have released three singles: ‘Vicarage Road’, ‘Something or Nothing’ and ‘Seen It All’.

The band have performed in various venues across the North West and may be recognisable to some Warriors fans, after they performed at the Club’s -pre-match Fan Zone ahead of the Betfred Super League fixture against Toronto Wolfpack earlier this year.

On Monday, Anglesea will be performing ‘Vicarage Road’ and a cover of The Courteeners’ ‘Not Nineteen Forever’.
