Classic games: 1990-91

  • This week on Wigan TV we turn our attention to the 1990-91 season.
  • See at least seven great games from that campaign on Wigan TV, every day from 2pm.
  • Jump into the Wigan TV match archive for more classic matches.

This week on Wigan TV, in partnership with Principal Partner Prestone, we have a selection of classic matches from the 1990-91 campaign when Wigan were forced to play eight games in just 19 days.

With four league matches having to be postponed due to cup competitions, test matches and bad weather, Coach John Monie deemed the run-in as “mission impossible”.

Already available to Wigan TV subscribers, we kick the classic matches off with the Tuesday night fixture away to Warrington on 26th March.

Wigan began the challenge fourth in the table, seven points off the top with four games in hand… you can watch the full game against Warrington on Wigan TV now by clicking HERE!

Thousands of Wigan fans have already flocked to Wigan TV for their Rugby League ‘fix’ during these unprecedented times, with 50 hours of classic matches added to the service in the last month.

See seven of the eight games from the 1990-91 run-in, from 2pm each day on the Wigan TV homepage.
