Vacancy: Ticketing & Matchday Executive

Wigan Warriors have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Ticketing / Events professional to join our team. The Ticketing & Matchday Executive will support the Club’s Head of Marketing to maximise ticketing revenues and optimise attendance at all Wigan Warriors home fixtures. The Ticketing & Matchday Executive will deal with all ticketing matters and ensure that outstanding customer service is always delivered. The Ticketing and Matchday Executive will also take a proactive role in ensuring that high quality matchday provision is delivered on an on-going basis.

Job Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Take a proactive role in maximising matchday attendances for all Wigan Warriors fixtures overseeing the sales and servicing of tickets
  • Be the main contact for all matters relating to Wigan Warriors ticketing
  • Collaborate closely with stadium staff and the ticket office manager
  • Liaise between Club staff and stadium staff involved in the stadium operations
  • In conjunction with the Head of Marketing plan and implement an annual schedule of pre, during and post matchday activity
  • Supervise all match day preparations and deliverables
  • Ensure effective running of all activity both inside outside the stadium during match day
  • Troubleshoot ticketing-related problems as they arise
  • Support with safety and security and access control services
  • Provide customer service for ticketing matters at the stadium if required
  • Plan and monitor the activity of the volunteers and report any issues to the appropriate manager
  • Collaborate with other internal departments, notably team, media, shop and community
  • Work with the Head of Marketing to track and deliver on company KPI’s and sales targets
  • Produce reports for both sales and attendance
  • Promote the Wigan Warriors brand and ethos in a professional, strong and positive manner

Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in a sport environment
  • Experience of supporting and delivering marketing campaigns
  • Highly organised, service-oriented and can work well under pressure
  • Effective project management skills
  • Problem solving /analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • IT Skills and ticketing/CRM systems (desirable but not essential)

Salary

  • 24K-26K Per annum depending on experience
