Wigan’s U19s win in Hull

Wigan Warriors Under-19s scored eight tries to beat Hull KR comfortably on Saturday afternoon.

Tries in the opening 20 minutes from Joe Robinson and Zach Eckersley saw Wigan 8-6 ahead.

However, it was the home side who had the lead at half time, despite another try from Eckersley and a conversion from Alex Sutton. Two more KR tries saw them ahead at 16-14.

Into the second 40 and Wigan scored 16 unanswered points by the hour mark. Efforts from Matty Nicholson, Robinson and Harvey Wilson saw the Warriors with a commanding 30-16 advantage. Sutton converted two of those tries to add to the tally.

In the final 20 minutes, Robinson completed his hat-trick and Jack Bibby got on the scoresheet as Wigan raced away to victory. Sutton added two more goals and despite a try from Hull KR, it was only consolation s the Warriors took the win.
