Kai Pearce-Paul believes Wigan must ‘maintain some consistency’ from last week’s win if they are to beat Huddersfield again on Friday night.

The two clubs meet for the second time inside a week when the Warriors travel to the John Smith’s Stadium on Friday evening.

Speaking to Wigan TV ahead of the rescheduled Round 9 fixture, Pearce-Paul began by discussing Wigan’s recent form and his run of games in the first team.

“It’s been a tough few weeks, with the losses. However, an opportunity is an opportunity. I’ll take it and do what I can. Every week we are getting better as a team and getting the win last week felt all the more rewarding, being part of the side.

The rangy second row was named man of the match in last week’s win over Ian Watson’s side.

“It was a great feeling. I had my family there cheering me on which was amazing too. At the end of the day it’s all about making my family proud.”

Pearce-Paul and his teammates have the unusual task of playing the same side back-to-back.

On Friday’s opposition: “There’s pros and cons, but we just need to focus on ourselves. We know what they offer, so we just need to maintain some consistency. We’re ready to go.”
