Warriors FUNdamentals goes live

  • New virtual physical activity project goes live by Wigan Warriors Community Foundation.
  • Weekly activities created and delivered by our PE specialists for fans to access at home.
  • The programme has been created to improve physical and mental fitness.

A new virtual project which aims to improve physical and mental fitness for all ages has been launched by Wigan Warriors Community Foundation.

Warriors FUNdamentals is a series of weekly fun activity videos delivered by Foundation staff, who are specialists in physical education, to challenge and help develop people’s fundamental movement skills.

Over the past few weeks – during the current national lockdown – the Community Foundation have been providing new activities every Thursday on their social media platforms and new YouTube channel for you to try from the comfort of your own home.

Guy Wood, Community Foundation schools education manager, said: “Our vision is to create enjoyable and adaptable activities that will allow families to come together, have fun, and engage in some friendly competition.

“The programme incorporates elements of the national curriculum and centres on important key skills such as throwing and catching. We are looking forward to seeing what everyone gets up to!”
