Darrell Goulding made three changes to the side that beat Castleford to knock the Tigers off top spot last weekend. Nathaniel Marshall, Callum Green and Josh Ganson replaced Sam Grant, Josh Woods and Liam Byrne.
Hull FC First Team player Jez Litten featured for the hosts while Zeus Silk and Tom Jubb also started.
Wigan started the game well and came close to scoring in the 13th minute as Aiden Roden looked to go over but the hooker knocked-on inches away from the line.
Darrell Goulding’s side broke the deadlock midway through the half as Samy Kibula pounced on the ball over the line following a kick. Harry Smith failed to convert but Wigan led 4-0.
The Warriors were playing with confidence and scored again after piling pressure on the Hull line. England Academy international Liam Paisley barged over on the back of a nice move, the conversion was off target but Wigan were now 8-0 to the good after 26 minutes.
Hull half-back Jack Wray was sent to the sin bin with five minutes of the first-half remaining for dissent meaning Wigan comfortably held onto their lead to go in at half-time 8-0 in front.

A Brad Clavering offload saw Jez Litten pull another try back for Hull seven minutes later but Wray missed his conversion meaning Wigan narrowly led 12-10 with 16 minutes remaining.
