Profile

An inspirational Warrior who returned after two years out with injury setbacks to score a brace in the 2018 Grand Final win against Warrington Wolves.

  • Played as a junior for Leigh Miners ARLFC before joining the Wigan Academy at the age of 14.
  • Spent a brief spell on loan at Salford Red Devils in 2014, scoring two tries in his only appearance for the Club
.
  • Scored back-to-back hat-tricks in April 2015 in Super League wins over Catalans Dragons and Warrington
.
  • Scored a try in the 2015 Grand Final loss to Leeds Rhinos.
  • Named in the 2016 Super League Dream Team
.
  • Picked up a knee injury against Castleford in August 2016, which cut short his season and in a run of bad luck he picked up another injury on his return to the Reserves side in August 2017.
  • A pacey winger who has explosive power and a silky technique to beat any defence on their own line, as seen in the victory vs Warrington in September 2018 when he made his comeback with two tries.
  • Signed a new three-year deal with Wigan ahead of the 2019 season.
  • In more bad luck for Manfredi, he suffered another anterior cruciate ligament injury, this time to his other knee as opposed to the previous two injuries, in a defeat to Castleford Tigers in April.
  • His 2019 season was over after making just four appearances. After a successful road to recovery, the winner is expected to be back playing at the start of the 2020 season.
