After learning his trade with local amateur side Orrell St James’, Oliver Partington made his professional debut at 20-years-old for his hometown club in a victory against Castleford.
Partington made five more Super League appearances in his first season before joining Swinton Lions on loan. After returning to Wigan, a consistent run of performances, in which he scored two tries in 23 games, led to an England Knights call up against Jamaica.
The forward lifted his first silverware in 2020, winning the League Leaders’ Shield and also playing in his first Super League Grand Final though the Warriors were beaten 8-4 by St Helens.
Partington played 91 games during his first stint with Wigan before joining Salford for the 2023 season where he was a regular starter, playing 45 games for the Red Devils.
A versatile player, Partington has made more than 100 Super League appearances, most recently starring for Catalans Dragons in the 2025 Season.
