Player Bio

A new member of the forward pack, Luke Thompson joins the Warriors for the 2024 season from Canterbury Bulldogs.

Thompson started his youth career with St Helens before making his debut for the Saints in 2013.

In his second season at St Helens, he featured in the Super League Grand Final victory over Wigan off the interchange bench.

The forward was named in the Super League Dream Team in back-to-back seasons in 2018 and 2019 following two uncompromising seasons.

Thompson played for St Helens over a seven-year period, playing 163 games and scoring 2013 tries.

In 2020, he made the switch to the NRL with Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, going on to score his first try for the Club in Round 5 of the 2021 season. The forward made 15 appearances in 2021, with a further 13 in 2022.

On the international stage, Thompson has also represented England and Great Britain.

He signed for Wigan in October 2023 on a four-year deal and looks set to boulster the Warriors forward pack in the 2024 season.
