He was part of Penrith Youth system, winning the 2015 National Youth Competition Grand Final. He made his NRL debut in 2018 against Gold Coast Titans, which ended in a 35-12 victory for Penrith Panthers.

The Prop forward joined Wigan for the 2022 season on a three-year deal and in May 2022, during his first season at the club, Ellis came off the bench to help secure a win against the Huddersfield Giants in the Challenge Cup Final at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

He made 23 appearances in the forwards during his debut season at the Club, scoring two tries.

In 2023, Ellis continued his good form and went on to make another 21 appearances. As such, the forward signed a new three-year deal with the Club in July 2023 to keep him at the Club until the end of the 2026 season.

In 2023, he also added a League Leaders’ Shield and a Super League Grand Final to his honours with the Club.

Kaide Ellis was part of the Warriors team who completed the Grand Slam in 2024, winning the World Club Challenge, Challenge Cup, League Leaders’ Shield and Super League all in the same season.
