Player Bio
Nsemba played at Academy/Reserve and First Grade Levels in 2022 and continues his development in the First Team in 2024.
Junior Nsemba played his amateur rugby at Wigan St Jude’s and is a product of Wigan’s Youth system.
A towering player, he can play both at second row and prop forward.
He scored 5 tries in 6 appearances for the Reserves in 2022 including a hat-trick of tries against London Broncos in an Academy game in 2022.
Junior made his debut as an 18-year old at Hull KR in 2022 and was named The Riversiders Academy Player of the Season for 2022.
Nsemba went on to make 15 first team appearances in 2023, whilst still featuring in the Reserves grade. He scored a memorable try at Headingley Stadium in Wigan’s win over Leeds Rhinos in the Challenge Cup.
Nsemba was a treble winner with the Warriors in 2024 lifting the Challenge Cup, League Leaders’ Shield and Super League trophy. He was also named Young Player of the Year at the annual Super League Awards, whilst also claiming the same award at the Clubs’ 2024 awards.
In September 2024, Nsemba announced he had signed a new six-year deal to remain with the Warriors until 2030.
