George Hirst joined Wigan Warriors from Oldham RLFC in October 2024 on a two-year deal with a further year option.
The Batley-born forward started his rugby league career at local side Dewsbury Moor aged nine before impressive performances at Almondbury Spartans in the Yorkshire Men’s League led to Hirst signing for Oldham in 2023.
Since scoring his first professional try on his first start, Hirst established himself as a regular in Oldham’s promotion winning 2024 season under the guidance of head coach Sean Long.
Hirst, who has represented England U19’s Community Lions, has trained with the Warriors First Team throughout pre-season ahead of the 2025 campaign.
