Warriors At Home: Get involved

Warriors At Home: Get involved

  • New series of daily challenges to enjoy at home.

  • Enter via Twitter or email by sending us your photos and videos.

  • Players and coaches to choose an honourary winner each night.

With all bar our supporters who are delivering essential services currently spending most of their time at home, pass those hours having fun with your favourite club by joining the #WarriorsAtHome movement!

Primarily driven via our Twitter channel, we started our campaign by asking fans to show us how they’ve adapted to working in home offices that are shrines to our Club, but we’re now moving on to a series of daily challenges to give our loyal fans something new to get involved with each day.

Every morning, we’re going to set our fans a new daily task and we’re asking you to respond with a photo or video to show how you’ve interpreted our idea. Each evening, a member of the Warriors playing or coaching staff will announce who they’ve judged to have been the most creative or uplifting entrant and will proclaim that day’s winner.

To get the campaign underway on Thursday, we’re starting off with ‘Throwback Thursday’ – a replica shirt based challenge! Get your whole household in on the act of wearing their favourite classic Wigan shirt to see if we can complete a full set among our fanbase of pretty much every shirt we’ve ever worn in the modern era. Today is also the international celebration of Purple Day, so we’d love to see a few of the old purple designs on show, not forgetting an honourable exception to the throwback rule for our current Alternate shirt in aid of North West Air Ambulance, which has plenty of purple trim.

To give you an advance tip of Friday’s theme, we’ll be following another national awareness theme – Wear A Hat Day. Quite simply, we want you to contribute your Wigan hat photos and videos! Whether you rock a Warriors beanie like a model or have come up with your own hat design that you want to show off, send them our way so that we can see the finest cherry and white headgear out there.

Keep a close eye on our social media platforms for news of each daily theme and if you want to get involved, there are two ways to enter:

Don’t forget to follow the guidance and stay at home when you undertake each challenge. Each theme is being carefully chosen to ensure that fans can enter from the comfort of their own home in accordance with Government guidelines.

We’ll share the best entries throughout each day on our Twitter channels so that you can see what everybody is up to and then one lucky household can bask in the glory of being named as our honourary winner each night.
