Wigan Warriors have once again joined forces with organisers of the Run Wigan Festival to offer a special reward for all runners.

For as well as receiving a medal for their efforts, participants will be entitled to free entry to Wigan’s Betfred Super League match against Catalans Dragons at the DW Stadium on the same day as the Club’s Pride Day festival.

Every one of the finishers in the Half Marathon, 10 Miler, 5k and Family Mile will be able to watch the five times Super League champions in the afternoon following the event – all they have to do is take along their finishers’ medal to get a ticket for FREE entry to the East Stand at the DW Stadium or purchase extra discounted tickets for family and friends (up to a maximum of four).

The game marks the Wigan club’s annual Pride Day and bosses want to extend the festival feel and community inclusive message brought about by Pride Day by inviting all of our 2020 runners to go along and watch the game and cheer the Warriors on.

Wigan Warriors executive director, Kris Radlinski: “Our fixture against Catalans Dragons promises to be a very memorable and colourful occasion as we host our keenly anticipated Pride Day, so we hope that it will be a special day from start to finish for all the runners that join us at the DW Stadium at the conclusion of their race.

“Furthermore, knowing that many of the runners are supporting Joining Jack, a charity that is so close to the hearts of many of us here at Wigan Warriors and in Rugby League, we are delighted to give something back for their efforts.”
