Wigan Warriors to host Development Day in partnership with RFL and England Talent Pathway Programme.

Boys welcome to attend free sessions with Warriors performance coaches:

  • Details of ETP Development days at Wigan Warriors.

  • Young players aged 11-16 welcome to attend free sessions.

  • Great chance to be trained by Warriors coaches.

Wigan Warriors Community Foundation, in partnership with the RFL’s England Talent Pathway programme are hosting a series of open access player development days for Boys.

The programme is designed to help every athlete reach their full athletic potential, regardless of age, gender, limitation, sport or natural ability.

Anthony Atherton, Community Rugby League Development Manager said: “The previous sessions have been very popular and hugely successful. We are looking to continue the great work done by teachers and coaches of the players.

“The players will be taken through various activities, scenarios and movement competencies designed to cover a range of skills concluding with a skill games component.

“The feedback from everybody concerned with our recent development camps was fantastic and we look forward to welcoming everybody back again.”

The sessions are FREE of charge and will take place at the Club’s training centre at Robin Park Arena (Loire Drive, WN5 0UH).

  • Year 7 at school – Current U11 Boys: Monday 21st October 09:00 – 11:30
  • Year 8 at school U12 Boys: Monday 21st October 12:30 – 15:00
  • Year 9 at school U13 Boys: Tuesday 22nd October 09:00 – 11:30
  • Year 10-11 at school U14-U15 Boys: Tuesday 22nd October 12:00 – 15:00

Players wanting to attend must pre-register through THIS LINK with their name, emergency contact number, playing age group, school and Community club (if applicable). The day will involve training both indoors and outside and players should bring kit, food and drink to suit.
