Wigan Warriors’ Athletic Development and Skill Camps will take place again throughout the Summer holidays.
Last year’s camps proved to be an outstanding success with over 150 young players taking part in the weekly sessions, reaching their full athletic potential, regardless of age, gender, limitation, sport or natural ability.
Warriors Strength and Conditioning Coach, Darren Marsh, is excited about running the course again this year.
He said: “The camps are a great opportunity to work on an important element of being a rugby league player. Every player has the potential to get quicker and the skills and techniques shown over the five weeks will enable the players to improve their performance.
“Last year’s camps were fantastic and we’re looking forward to seeing how the players improve and enjoy this year’s programme.”
Wigan Women’s, Rachel Thompson, added: “We are looking forward to many young girls attending the camps and maximising their development. We’ve seen a lot of community players attend our Train With The Champions sessions and look forward to welcoming them back.”
The sessions will start on Friday 2nd August and will run every Friday for five weeks. The Wigan Strength and Conditioning coaches will provide expert tuition for participants with regards to improving all aspects of speed training.
