Easter Camp success

Over 650 young people aged 4-16 had a taste of what it’s like to be a Wigan Warrior over the Easter Holidays, as the Wigan Warriors Community Foundation rolled out their Easter Holiday Camps.

The Wigan Warriors Easter Holiday Camps which are for young people aged 4-12, took place across the North West covering Wigan, Accrington, Morecambe, Barrow, Askam and Seaton with Warriors stars Tom Davies, Liam Marshall and Romain Navarrete all in attendance at the Wigan based Player Camp. The children also had the chance to see the Betfred Super League trophy and were treated to Warriors merchandise and goody giveaways.

Head of Youth Development Mick Cassidy and England U16s Assistant Coach and Wigan Warriors U16’s Head Coach, Anthony were also on hand to lend their expertise on the Wigan based age 11-16 Development Days.

Tommy Gallagher, Community Development Officer and Camp Lead Said: “Our holiday offer continues to grow year-on-year and it’s amazing to see so many young people attend the camps, meet their idols, develop as players and ultimately enjoy themselves”

“This Easter has been one of our busiest and were now looking forward to welcoming everyone back in our next set of camps over the May half-term.”

Our next Player Camp will take place on the 28th and 29th of May. For further information, or to book your child’s place, please visit www.wiganwarriors.com/rugbycamps
