It was Huddersfield who got off to the faster start, as Lucas Hallas found a gap in the Wigan defence after two minutes to put his side ahead.
Wigan quickly responded, as Aiden Roden forced his way through the Giants defence to get over the try line.
The Warriors went ahead two minutes later, this time Roden providing the assist for Jake Sculthorpe to go over. The third try arrived soon after, as Harry Rushton crashed over in the 16th minute.
Huddersfield fought back and weakened Wigan’s lead, as Louis Senior went over the whitewash after 25 minutes.
The Warriors re-extended their lead in the 34th minute, as Green dashed past the defenders to make the score 24-10 at half time.
Like the first half, Huddersfield got the opening try of the second, as Dominic Young touched down in the corner in the 44th minute.
Wigan soon responded though with their first try of the second 40, as Oscar Stone forced his way through the defence to power over. The Warriors quickly added another to their tally, as Umyla Hanley eased under the posts.
Further tries from Amir Bourouh in the 62nd minute, Ryan Forshaw in the 65th minute and a second of the day for Hanley in the 73rd minute left the full time score at 54-14, as an instrumental Callum Green converted all the tries.
