Warriors Receive White Ribbon Accreditation

Wigan Warriors are proud to announce we are now a White Ribbon accredited organization. White Ribbon UK was founded in 2005, with the mission to end male violence against women once and for all.

Male violence towards women is shockingly prevalent, and we can only change society by promoting a message of respect and tolerance, and leading by example. (White Ribbon)

Wigan Warriors have recently been awarded White Ribbon status to certify our commitment to ending male violence against women. Three of our first team players; Sean O’ Loughlin, Taulima Tautai and Liam Marshall have all signed up as White Ribbon ambassadors, to help raise awareness of the White Ribbon principles and promote a culture of equality and respect.

We would like to encourage our fans to take the White Ribbon pledge: Never to commit, condone, or remain silent about violence against women. Simply go to : www.whiteribbon.org.uk/pledge/

Over 35,000 people have already signed the pledge online.
