A whole host of Wigan legends set to attend Catalans home fixture this Friday (27th)
Cherry & White’s ex-players to visit fan village pre-match on Friday
- Will also be presented on the pitch & make guard of honour for current side.
They’ll be a few familiar faces joining Wigan fans at this Friday’s fixture vs Catalans as part of a celebratory Heritage day.
Ex-players including the likes of Mick Cassidy, Andy Gregory, Stephan Wild, Martin Crompton, Steve Hampson and Ian Potter will be involved in the day which aims to celebrate the rich history of the club dating back to 1872. And what better way to do this than by bringing both fans and ex-players together at the home of Wigan Warriors?
In the build-up to kick-off at 8pm, the club legends will be out in force to meet the Wigan faithful in the Fan-Village from 6:30pm. This will give any fans the opportunity to get any autographs or pictures from the legends as they soak up the pre-game atmosphere in the Fan-Village for around 45 minutes.
The Warriors Fan-Village is always the best place to be before kick-off with delicious food and drink on offer as well as great entertainment.
They will then take to the pitch before kick-off to be presented to the fans in the DW Stadium.
As a mark of respect to the current first team, the ex-players will then create a guard of honour for the Cherry & Whites as they run out onto the pitch
