Wigan Warriors Community Foundation is Wigan Warriors official charity and uses the power of Sport to make a difference to people’s lives. We work across many areas in Wigan and the North West delivering a wide range of programmes from rugby league coaching through to programmes that improve health, wellbeing and improving the career prospects of young people and adults.
The Foundation team currently deliver programmes to thousands of people in the community each year and our partners, friends and supporters are vital in supporting the work of the Foundation to ensure sustainability.
We now have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, individual with the required experience to join our team. Working alongside our successful coaching team you will be responsible for the delivery of the foundations Health, schools and sporting programmes.
The post holder will be required to support the development, delivery and evaluation of the foundations key schools and club objectives, with a specific responsibility for the development of the foundations SKY TRY primary school and PE and School Sport Plus+ programmes.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding and knowledge of school sports and community club development theory and practice. We also require significant experience working with and supporting volunteers and working in or developing sport with young people.
We require a highly motivated and dynamic individual who is able to work as part of a team and make a positive contribution to the achievement of team objectives.
