Wigan Warriors are delighted to reveal a one-off shirt that the team will wear in this week’s Armed Forces game against Leeds.
The Warriors will pay tribute to the Armed Forces with a special shirt to mark 100 years since the end of the First World War. An alternative take on this season’s home kit, the shirt sees the cherry hoops replaced by poppies.
Warriors Head of Community and Marketing, Martin McLoughlin, said: “Our Armed Forces game is one of the highlights of our calendar. With it being 100 years since the end of World War I we wanted to do something special to show our support, so along with the Royal British legion and our partners, Errea, we have created this fantastic kit which I’m sure the fans will love.”
The kit will be available to pre-order, priced at £49.00 with a £10.00 donation from each kit sold made to the Royal British Legion.
The very limited edition of 300 shirts will be available to pre-order on Monday, 9am from Warriors World in the Grand Arcade and online HERE priced at £49 for adults (S-9XL) and ladies (S-2XL.
