19-Man Squad: Vs Castleford

  • Wigan Warriors name 19-man squad for game with Castleford Tigers

Wigan Warriors today announce the 19-man squad for this week’s Betfred Super League game against Castleford Tigers.

With Sean O’Loughlin, John Bateman and George Williams away on international duty, Shaun Wane is forced into three changes.

Liam Farrell, is rated as 60:40 to overcome an ankle injury so is included. Josh Woods comes in and could feature at half-back whilst youngster Liam Paisley is also included and would make his debut for Wigan if selected.

Wane also confirmed that George Williams will be out for four to six weeks after picking up a posterior cruciate ligament injury in last week’s win over Hull FC. The extent of Williams’ injury only became apparent after travelling with the England team to Denver ahead of the test against New Zealand. Williams will stay in Denver with England and return with the rest of the squad following Saturday’s game.
